Our most recent offering is Coaching and Training. Businesses, for example, will sometimes be faced with questions about aboriginal issues. They will have staff who can attend to the issues, but they are unsure about how to proceed or lack experience in this field. We offer clients blocks of our professional time where we would meet with staff and help them brainstorm and problem solve. Mentoring and Coaching can help a client deal with new issues as well as increase the capacity of their staff in aboriginal matters. Coaching sessions can be on an “as needed” basis or be held on a set schedule. We have also developed a First Nation Risk Management training module. The module provides background on aboriginal rights and title and gives insights into cross-cultural matters. More than this, though, our module concentrates on helping participants recognize risk factors, learn how to integrate risk management into their project plans and activities and – importantly – how to minimize risk by building beneficial relationships with First Nations. We offer half day or full day training and can customize the module to address the specific challenges of your industry. |
